沈波,武汉大学经济与管理学院副教授。主要研究领域为产业组织理论、微观经济理论、竞赛设计理论、平台经济与反垄断等。研究成果发表在经济学与管理学国际顶级和一流期刊 Production and Operations ManagementJournal of Economic Behavior and Organization, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory, Economic Inquiry 等。主持国家自然科学基金、教育部人文社科基金等项目。

摘要|Abstract

Digital platforms, such as Alibaba, Amazon, Facebook, Uber, have transformed the nature of our daily life. These multi-sided platforms typically get two or more distinct groups of agents on board, provide service to these agents, and enable interactions among them. Markets where platforms are prevalent have been scrutinized by many competition agencies over the past two decades, and some conducts adopted by dominant platforms have been considered anti-competitive. This lecture will discuss competition policy issues in multi-sided platform markets, including the essential definition of markets, the notion of market power, and the consequences of practices such as exclusivity, mergers and collusion.
