Two Roads Diverged Episodes
Episode #1: Unscheduled Departure (5/21/98) Wise Snake, Nick, Eliza, Bum Bum, and Griff are on their way back from the hospital when Snake, zlinning something up ahead, diverts them hastily to the train station. Having no idea why, our heroes flee Bender Cove aboard a train, along with Linn Haskins who was unfortunate enough to be at the station at the time. Eliza expresses dismay at leaving town without saying anything to Mostan. Nick serves Snake's transfer on the train's observation deck, while Bum Bum seizes his chance to get Linn alone.

Episode #2: Pollenosis Diagnosis (5/22/98) Wise Snake helps Linn with her hay fever, after answering some questions about channelling. Snake then goes through the train looking for more patients, and helps a sick lady and an old man. To her surprise she also encounters Plig, who wants his field taken down. Bum Bum speculates, in Linn's presence, that Snake picked up Linn in order to provide a "spare" in case he kills both Eliza and Griff. Fortunately, Linn doesn't quite realize what he meant.

Episode #3: King Fahad of Fum Buck Hamlet (5/24/98) Our heroes get off the train in a small town, where Snake looks up an old friend of her mother's. Eliza breaks the news to Linn that Bum Bum is junct. Griff disappears on an ook safari led by a native guide. Snake assigns everybody to try to find Griff, and sets off alone to make a business deal with Malc, a specialist in rare medicinal plants. Eliza "hides" and follows her. Malc makes transfer from Snake part of their deal. Eliza takes it upon herself to go exploring in his lab, and to fill her pockets while doing so. Prospa, Malc's usual channel, arrives just in time to catch Eliza red-handed and Malc and Snake red-tentacled. Things get ugly but Snake manages to get them out of there with no fatalities. Eliza feels compelled to go back and apologize, and gets recaptured, then rescued by Titty and Wise Snake.

Episode #4: Black and White, in Hats and Horses (5/28/98) Having taken another train, our heroes disembark at the town of Angst Bluff, just in time to witness the accidental slaying of a renSime by a Gen who is trying to rob him. Mistaken for the perpetrators of the crime, Snake, Nick and Linn are bundled off to jail. An ugly scene is barely averted when Bum Bum shows up at the police station, having apprehended the true killer. Afterward, the crew enjoy a meal at Waldo and Welma's Wonderful World of Waffles, where they meet M'sara, a local Gen. Wise Snake heals him, and they end up striking a deal for some horses and equipment.

Episode #5: The Staff of Life (5/29/98) Our heroes sleep in M'sara's farm house over night. Wise Snake and Eliza, awake earlier than the others, talk. Eliza is having trouble composing a letter to Mostan that manages to say anything without saying anything. She asks Snake about coordinating to use Gen Slam as a weapon. However, she is discouraged by the amount of nageric control evidently involved. The two of them go in to town to buy bread, and encounter Jennie and her husband Jack.

Episode #6: Eliza's Breakfast Nook (5/30/98) The rest of our heroes wake up in M'sara's farmhouse. Perhaps "wake up" is too strong a term.

Episode #7: Kill or Cure (5/31/98) As morning wears on in M'sara's farmhouse, Wise Snake and Bum Bum fight over a (bewildering, and perhaps rather suspicious) number of minor injuries that require healing, while Eliza struggles to perform a dignified inventory of the group's travelling assets. Eliza startles Bum Bum by succeeding in distracting him from Gen fear and pain using Tecton Donor skills. A changeover victim attempts to hide under the house, and is discovered and helped by Nick and Snake.

Episode #8: Untempered Tantrum (6/1/98) Travelling by horseback to a fairgrounds a couple of days distant, our heroes are forced to stop when Griff suffers an, er, "riding accident". Eliza gets mauled by a bear and is rescued, then kidnapped, by Bum Bum. He tries to talk Eliza into giving him transfer, after which he hopes they will run away forever. Eliza ixnays this, not wanting to leave Wise Snake or to try serving him without Snake's presence. Eliza is shocked when Snake ends up disallowing the transfer, instead serving Bum Bum herself. Eliza then refuses to let her field be taken down.

Episode #9: A Slow Start (6/4/98) At the fairgrounds, Wise Snake takes down Linn's and Griff's fields, and sends them off to find her some clients. Spayd, Smilin' Dan, and Harraz show up looking for a channel's services.

Episode #10: Caged Things (6/5/98) Eliza, Bum Bum and Wise Snake go to a freak show featuring "Gianto, the Strongest Man in the World". Egged on by Eliza, Snake reluctantly enters into a hammer contest with Gianto, which ends almost immediately when an unfortunate accident befalls the giant Gen. Despite Gianto's being healed by Snake, angry friends of the giant kidnap Griff and lock him in a lion's cage, in the hopes of forcing Snake to pay damages to Gianto. However, the plan falls apart when its architect, a dwarf named Mmoe, becomes impatient with the thickness of everybody around him. Eliza manages to locate Griff and he is rescued. Bum Bum once again attempts to entice Eliza into running away with him, saying he will go alone if she says no. The episode ends on a suspenseful note.

Episode #11: Flying Circus (6/6/98) Eliza is relieved when Snake says Bum Bum is still alive, however when she attempts to find him, she gets sidetracked to a sideshow. There, she is witness (and unwitting participant) to a bizarre act involving fruit and a trampoline, among other things. Meanwhile, Bum Bum is taken under wing (so to speak) by Aqua and Mmoe, and gets talked into going to the local police station and making a report about Snake. A decision is made to go apprehend Snake and bring her in for questioning.

Episode #12: Flight of the Bum Bum Bee (6/7/98) A police force descends upon the carnival in a botched attempt to apprehend Wise Snake. Bum Bum, brought along to identify "the suspect", ends up cuffed first to an officer, then to a tree. Nick, Linn, Griff and Eliza decamp hastily, and end up reconnecting with Snake some miles out of town.

Episode #13: What in Tarnation?! (6/8/98) It's early morning on the road, and Eliza and Wise Snake, waking up before the others, decide to investigate a nearby farmhouse. They are in the process of stealing some eggs when somebody gets knocked out in the cattle shed. Not wanting to miss out on the work, Snake sneaks into the midst of the farm folk and embarks upon a foolhardy series of semi-undetected channel's services.

Episode #14: An Idyllic Country Morning (6/9/98) After shivering through a brisk bath in a frigid brook and fighting over the scraps of a stolen breakfast, our heroes rush to the rescue of a boy caught in a trap.

Episode #15: Fifty Kills (6/10/98) It is early morning in a forest camp and once again, Eliza and Wise Snake are the only ones awake. Asteroth, a junct thief living in the forest nearby, attempts to sneak into the camp, but is caught by Snake. After a brief attempt at conversation, Snake kicks Asteroth out of the camp, as the renSime is becoming obsessed with Eliza's nager. Asteroth pesters Eliza from the visual cover of the forest, then augments to snatch her and kill her but ends up being served by Snake instead. Later, a disagreement between Snake and Eliza regarding Eliza's field being taken down sends Snake marching off into the woods for some time alone. Frustrated, Eliza lets off steam in horseplay, then runs into a bit of additional renSime trouble.

Episode #16: Scattered (6/11/98) Snake returns to camp. Eliza and Asteroth are still nowhere to be zlinned. Linn offers tea, but small comfort.

Episode #17: City of Eyes (6/12/98) Riding through the prosperous town of Novic Place, our heroes attract more attention than Wise Snake feels comfortable with. However, pressure from 4 hungry Gens causes Snake to call a halt at Mah's Eatery. The observant Mah calls in Berman, a channel from the local Center, to inspect the strangers and he recognizes Snake as a Farris. When Snake and company hurry out the door without ever introducing themselves, Berman returns to the Center, intending to send out a letter or two on the subject. A Donor riding a runaway horse has a fall at the side of the road and is assisted by Eliza and Snake.

Episode #18: Rogue Healer (6/13/98) Only semi-reined in by a concerned Nick, a Wise Snake crazed by entran mauls (well, heals, actually) Tillet the serendipitous typewriter salesman, Mac Donald the dangerous-animal farmer, Sadie the laundress, and McFeely, a horny old mailman. In the postman's wake Nick finds a lost letter, which turns out to be a small town mayor begging the Tecton for a long-awaited replacement channel. On Linn's advice, Eliza asks Wise Snake if her training can be continued; accordingly Snake asks Nick to work with Eliza on control.

Episode #19: Needing-Frenzy (6/14/98) Our heroes enter the reputedly channel-less town of Vortez Lake, hoping to impersonate the expected Tecton replacements, and are surrounded by a rioting mob of renSimes in hard need. Wise Snake and Nick manage to escape by forcibly calming those nearest them, and are installed in a nearby house by Mayor Fountaine. There they begin serving the renSimes. Meanwhile, Eliza and Linn canvass the neighborhoods for high field Gens to make emergency donations. Eliza encounters one Gen who appears to have Donor potential, and brings him to the house for Snake to zlin. She then goes to work organizing the lines of donors and renSimes and manages to get everybody the rest of the way calmed. Linn agrees to a small amount of field control training. Nick assists as Eliza experiences her long-suppressed frustration in an insulated place.

Episode #20: Pruned (6/16/98) Tanzarra and Soli, a channel and Companion, are travelling on a country road when they stop to help an injured tree-farmer. As they kneel there, a half-cut branch falls, crushing Soli. Tanzarra, not wanting to encounter the Tecton channel she has heard lives in the nearby town, flees the scene of her matchmate's death.

Episode #21: Preservation du Jour (6/17/98) Eliza hovers anxiously as Wise Snake examines a hypochondriac while sleepwalking. Tanzarra, in desperate need, turns up on their doorstep believing she is giving herself back into the hands of the Tecton. After a brief discussion in which it becomes clear Tanzarra has had many difficulties with transfer, Wise Snake serves her need. A disagreement involving some paperwork and a large quantity of dynamite ends any future plans our heroes may have had for Frooter's house.

Episode #22: Nick the Naked (In the Kingdom of Mr. BOOM) (6/18/98) Following the destruction of Frooter's house, Wise Snake lodges a complaint with the Mayor's office. Upon learning which construction company had the contract for the demolition, Wise Snake proceeds to harass Verli, the company's owner, until he agrees to let them stay at his sister's vacant house. (Shortly thereafter, Verli's sister's house meets an untimely demise.) When they stop in a clothing shop, our heroes are accosted by Mr. B, the local crime boss, who proves he has "the goods" on Wise Snake and orders her to leave town. Upon hearing rumors that Mr. B harbors juncts, trades in choice kills and plays the local government as a puppet, Snake decides to send the others temporarily out of town and do a little private research. Umber's clothing shop, and its proprietor, are suddenly and loudly no more.

Episode #23: No Use Crying over Spilled Beans (6/18/98) Meanwhile, on the road, Eliza allows herself and Tanzarra to become accidentally-on-purpose separated from the others. She manages to let the cat out of the bag about the group's real identities before Tanzarra is distracted by a young boy's call for help.

Episode #24: How would the Lone Ranger Handle this Situation? (6/19/98) Nick, Linn and Griff ride back along the road until they find Eliza and Tanzarra, who are healing Joad. A decision is made to bring Joad and H'ron back to town, and they start off. Wise Snake pays a visit to Mr. B, who admits to his crimes under pressure and is murdered by Snake. "Mayor" Fountaine shows up shortly thereafter, but flees town fearing exposure as a fraud. Our heroes meet up back at City Hall, where Tanzarra vainly attempts to find out what the hell is going on, and Eliza slips away for an emotional breather. Wise Snake takes steps to secure the health and security of the town of Vortez Lake. Eliza struggles with her control problems to help Tanzarra. After a brief interlude in which Snake heals a peculiar sunburn, Nick serves Snake in transfer. And how!

Episode #25: Twenty Questions (6/19/98) Upon finding Wise Snake in a rare, post-transfer mellow state, Eliza seizes the opportunity to grill the channel on some matters she had been wondering about.

Episode #26: The Gen that Wasn't (6/19/98) Eliza and Tanzarra assist Uben, a young nonjunct renSime from Out-Territory who had injured his foot.

Episode #27: Gunk (6/20/98) Tanzarra asks Wise Snake to try to help her break her dependency. Snake eventually agrees to do so, in return for her loyalty.

Episode #28: Vigorous, if Intermittent (6/21/98) Experiencing unaccustomed hungers the day after her transfer, Snake is rescued by Nick. (At least in the area of food; further attempts at 'rescue' are impeded by Linn's untimely arrival.)

Episode #29: Hallucinatory Aura (6/21/98) Eliza and Wise Snake go out into the neighborhoods to conduct a door-to-door survey. While they are interviewing the slovenly Lothezi, a Gen named Ravi comes by. Ravi wants to donate, so Wise Snake brings her back to the Town Hall. No sooner have they arrived when Ravi's field changes to resemble that of a 2nd Order Donor. Snake, alarmed by the Gen's successful deception of her, refuses to take down Ravi's field, telling her she will have to wait for Tanzarra to return. Ravi leaves, but returns minutes later now zlinning like a First. Desperate to be around a channel, but unable to articulate her desires, she leaves when Snake is too afraid of her to believe her protestations of harmlessness.

Episode #30: Freaked (6/23/98) Eliza discovers the joys of popular periodicals. Nick discovers Wise Snake, who has succumbed to tranquilizers after Ravi's unnerving visit. No sooner does he have her more or less conscious again when they are visited by Tramzem, a young junct kicked out of the local circle when Gens became difficult to get. Wise Snake serves his need, then brings him over to the courthouse. Upon learning the local sheriff has screwed up her plans for finding the rest of the juncts, Snake flies into a rage and ends up paying for the sheriff's 2 week vacation just to get him out of the way. Tanzarra has found our heroes some temporary housing, though its landlord leaves a bit to be desired. She agrees to spend more time working with Eliza.

Episode #31: Long-Winded (6/24/98) While Tanzarra is working with Eliza on her field control, they are distracted first by a pigeon aficionado, then a dog-lover. Next, a tornado rips through the town of Vortex... er, Vortez Lake. Eliza and Tanzarra make it back to the Town Hall in time, and are bundled down to the cellar by Wise Snake. Eliza, stir crazy after only minutes, explores the contents of some mysterious trunks, and then tells the channels a story.

Episode #32: Heavy (6/25/98) Nick and Wise Snake rescue Eska, a Gen woman trapped in her collapsed house. After bringing her back to the Town Hall for Tanzarra and Eliza to keep an eye on, they go back out to search for more storm victims. They encounter the acid-drenched Klina, and the drug-saturated Cuxie, and bring them both to the town's homeless shelter.

Episode #33: Quality Time (6/25/98) Wise Snake outlines to Eliza and Tanzarra their duties for the next few days, including a census of the town. Eliza insists that Snake go back to the apartment and get cleaned up and rested. Eliza and Tanzarra assist in a childbirth.

Episode #34: Liz Dexia (6/26/98) In the course of three endless days of census-taking, Eliza and Tanzarra encounter some real winners, including Liz.

Episode #35: Some People's Kids (6/27/98) Eliza and Tanzarra go back to check on Danu, a new mother. While they are there, Tanzarra also confirms her suspicion that Danu's adult son, Froddy, is a 3rd order channel. A small boy tries to steal their medical satchel, but gets caught. Upon learning that he no longer has any parents, they take him to Liz Dexia for care.

Episode #36: The Long Pencil of the Tecton (6/28/98) Wise Snake and Nick have been up for several days scrambling to get storm damage under control and finish the census reports before the Tecton team arrives. Torrance pops in unannounced, bearing a letter from the Tecton charging him with assisting with Snake and Nick's administrative necessities while they spend another week (!) waiting for Tecton reinforcements. Griff, bored, finds amusement in a medical reference work. Froddy shows up and Snake verifies that he is indeed a channel.

Episode #37: With Safety Like This, Who Needs Danger? (6/28/98) Tanzarra, as of yet unaware of Torrance's existence, is shocked when she returns to the Town Hall and finds his Tecton-affiliated person in residence. Eliza has gone to deliver mail and is approached by a junct while on the road back into town. One thing leads to another and she gets dragged back to a junct hideout and thrown in a cage. However, she soon manages to slam her captor and escape.

Episode #38: Drugged, Dragged and Driven (6/30/98) No sooner has Eliza made her escape when she is recaptured by Loth, the channel ringleader of the band of juncts. She soon becomes the witness (and object) of an argument between Loth and another junct identified only as "Cranky Bugger". Loth finally manages to subdue Cranky Bugger and serve his need. He then drugs Eliza to render her safe for storage. As she passes out he reveals that he has no Companion and wants to keep her for his own. Meanwhile Eliza's horse has returned to town without her. Tanzarra becomes alarmed and goes out to search for Eliza along the road into town. As luck would have it, Loth loses control of Eliza while trying to sneak away with her, and Tanzarra and Eliza are reunited.

Episode #39: A Fountain of Talent (7/2/98) Tanzarra reports that Eliza has been found. After serving two renSimes in need, Tanzarra goes on a house call and ends up assisting in the changeover of yet another Vortez Lake channel.

Episode #40: Among So-Called Friends (7/3/98) The next day, Eliza is awakened by an obnoxious Griff. Struggling with reaction to her adventure among the juncts, Eliza fails to realize that Tanzarra is experiencing a difficult changeover. Later that day, Wise Snake learns of Eliza's capture and subsequent escape and is furious. In an attempt to alleviate her own stress, she asks Eliza to tell Nick what happened and tells Nick to write it all down. She then goes home for a cup of tea. Nick tells Eliza to write it down herself and runs off in search of Snake. No sooner has Nick left when Tanzarra finds Eliza and wants to spend time with her. Eliza reluctantly agrees and they go back home and discover Snake hiding out in the kitchen with Linn, who beats a hasty retreat. Eliza eventually does manage to make her report.

Episode #41: Junct Roundup (7/6/98) Feeling hemmed in by the Tecton's assumption that she will remain as Vortez Lake's permanent head channel, Wise Snake decides to mop up and leave town. Accordingly she assigns Eliza to supervise the sheriff's implementation of an expedited junct hunt. One junct voluntarily comes to the Town Hall for transfer but then makes a break for it.

Episode #42: Pigs is Pigs (7/8/98) Eliza complains of Vortez Lake's sheriff's unbecoming prejudices.

Episode #43: Hey... Mooooooove Over (7/23/98) The episode opens some two weeks after our heroes have left Vortez Lake. Wise Snake has somehow become separated from Nick and the others, and gets trapped in a barn, then rescued by a Tecton channel Carmikel and his Companion, Warron. Carmikel questions Snake and, discovering that she has no idea where her Donor was or when she'd last seen him and is a day late for transfer, decides to serve her need. Fortunately she retains enough self control to avoid disaster, but the transfer is adequate only as a stop-gap until Nick can be found.

Episode #44: Nuisances (7/23/98) A few hours later, Carmikel's buddy Theffie reports that the missing Nick has been spotted wandering aimlessly in the street. Carmikel and Theffie go to pick him up and find him unwashed, sleep-deprived, and desperate for transfer. Carmikel brings him back to Snake, who hurriedly spends the selyn Carmikel had given her in order to be able to take transfer with Nick.

Episode #45: Relatively Annoying (7/24/98) Nick and Wise Snake have their transfer. Nick (eventually) gets some hard earned sleep. Linn and Griff get the message that Snake and Nick have found each other and are in another town. Leaving a message for Eliza and Tanzarra, they set off to rejoin the others. That evening, an awakened Nick and Snake are about to resume making post-transfer "whoopee" when they are interrupted by none other than Nick's obnoxious "Uncle" Seegis. Nick manages to fend the guy off temporarily only to learn that his clothing has mysteriously disappeared. Nonetheless he and Snake go to meet Linn, at a bar where Uncle Seeg also lays in wait.

Episode #46: Donorgänger (7/26/98) Eliza, separated from the others and desperate for food and a change of clothes, goes to the local Sime Center only to be mistaken for a famous Donor they have been expecting.

Episode #47: Smelling Error (7/27/98) Eliza is still wandering the streets and is hungrier than ever when she accidentally runs into Bumanuel Altavista, who is just as surprised as she is. Hoping to snag her as a Companion, he invites her to his place. On the way, they are mistaken for, ah,

Episode #48: Give 'Em an Inch.... (7/28/98) On his way back from picking up some... er... food, Bum Bum is accosted by Fremus, a needy renSime looking for a free transfer. Upon his reluctant return home with the renSime in tow, he asks Eliza if he can "borrow" some selyn. However, he ends up surprising her by taking transfer off her, then trying to apologize afterward. Incredibly, Eliza does eventually agree to stay with him until he can find a way to get transfers.

Episode #49: Blabber Mouth (7/28/98) Tanzarra is wandering the city looking for Eliza and happens to come within earshot of Fremus.

Episode #50: Discord (7/29/98) In a stroke of luck, Tanzarra accidentally stumbles across Eliza and Bum Bum as they leave a diner. Bum Bum flees carrying the struggling Eliza. Tanzarra's pursuit is hampered by the attentions of Sapis, a devoted renSime who believes her to be "the Savior". Bum Bum drops Eliza and she and Tanzarra are united once again; the moment, however, is ruined when Sapis raises intil. After Tanzarra serves Sapis' need the renSime is even more worshipful and persistent than before. Eliza talks Tanzarra into trying to find Bum Bum at his home. Tanzarra is shocked and jealous when she learns Eliza has served him in transfer. Eliza manages to talk Bum Bum into accompanying them back to Snake, much to Tanzarra's dismay. After torturing our heroes with a wailing, off-key spiritual hymn, Sapis invites herself along as well.

Episode #51: Mortification of the Flesh-and-Blood (7/30/98) Nick and Wise Snake are interrupted in their discussion of logistics when Nick's parents come knocking on the door.

Episode #52: The Poetry of Badness (7/31/98) As Wise Snake shows Nick's irate parents the door, who should show up but Tanzarra, with Eliza, Bum Bum and (regrettably) Sapis in tow. Sapis zlins Snake and thenceforth takes to referring to her as "the Savior" instead of Tanzarra, much to Tanzarra's relief. Eliza has Bum Bum under her wing, keeps him out of the line of fire, and incidentally finally gets a bite to eat. Afterward she takes Snake aside to ask whether hearing small voices in your head constitutes being out of your gourd.

Episode #53: Calculated to Annoy (8/4/98) Our heroes ride into Achambo, a large city which is apparently hosting a week-long Torn by Tentacles concert event. Sapis continues to annoy everybody with her poetry(?). Linn complains of not getting enough time with a channel as she tries to learn field control. Wise Snake obligingly assigns her to Bum Bum, asking Eliza to go back to Tanzarra.

Episode #54: Solicitation (8/5/98) Linn helps Bum Bum during a channel's functional for the first time. Finding the scene of the outdoor TBT concert rather disturbing, she is not reassured when Bum Bum strikes up a deal (strictly business, mind you) with a prostitute. Meanwhile, Griff gets separated from Nick and Wise Snake when a thug mistakes him for an under-aged concertgoer and tries to deliver him to the police. Nick tries to sell "special" TBT transfers to a passing renSime, who is a bit taken aback by the price.

Episode #55: Hoons (8/6/98) While waiting for the long overdue Wise Snake to return from some errands, Nick runs into Boofay, a Bender Cove Sime Center employee in town for the concert. Bum Bum asks Nick for help in locating Linn, who evidently had become rather upset about a certain er, activity Bum Bum accepted as work. An old lady becomes irate when Nick trips over her in the crowd, and Snake doesn't help matters by absconding with her selyn. Buggfa Lube, Torn By Tentacles' lead singer, has a scare while signing autographs for some obsessive fans.

Episode #56: Mud is Thicker than Barter (8/7/98) Slumming in the Torn by Tentacles audience, rich boy Vaad thinks Linn and Bum Bum are his big chance to secure a Torn by Tentacles style transfer. Upset after Bum Bum disallows him transfer with Linn then serves him a perfectly ordinary transfer, Vaad demands to speak to Snake, who he believes is Linn's owner. Bum Bum obligingly provides him with a description of sorts and Vaad manages to locate Snake. Frustrated by her lack of cooperation in his quest to purchase Linn for his next month's transfer, Vaad becomes violent (and then becomes unconscious and wallet-less). Snake, Nick, Tanzarra, and Eliza have some difficulty locating one another in the chaos of the concert audience. Afterward, a bath is definitely in order.

Episode #57: Loyal Minions (8/8/98) Our heroes are nearly kicked out of their hotel room by a visiting VIP who requires their rooms. Tanzarra heals a hotel employee who has injured himself (literally) in the line of duty. Eliza gets a sugar high. The visiting VIP turns out to be Richard Hardwick-Greeves, who invites Tanzarra and her associates out to dinner, not realizing that her Hajene Farris is the same one he knew in Bender Cove.

Episode #58: Dick's Surprise (8/10/98) Nick and Wise Snake manage to lose track of one another yet again. Richard Hardwick-Greeves is shocked to see Snake. Eliza finds Richard quite interesting. On their way to dinner, Snake suffers an allergic reaction.

Episode #59: The Gen-Juggler (8/11/98) Wise Snake attempts to ask Linn how her work with Bum Bum is going. However, when the subject of Vaad's attempt to purchase Linn's services comes up, Linn learns that Wise Snake now has Vaad's money and draws the obvious conclusion. Just as that unfortunate misunderstanding is resolved, Nick returns after hours of frantic searching for Snake, and they argue. Nick pleads with Snake to keep one of them with her at all times. Just then, Griff interrupts; he has encountered a bee sting victim and wants Nick and Snake to assist. Finally Snake is able to return to her conversation with Linn. Linn complains of not knowing Bum Bum's exact ratings, and Snake agrees to test him. Snake persuades Linn to accept additional training, with the aim of eventually serving Bum Bum in transfer.

Episode #60: Beauty and the Beast (8/12/98) Linn informs Bum Bum of her assignment to him. She asks him about the people he has killed, in an attempt to ascertain whether he is a repentant or an incorrigible junct. She then confesses her own trepidation about, and reputed unsuitability for, transfer. By the end of the conversation, however, she has pledged her willingness to try.

Episode #61: A Gutsy Decision (8/13/98) Fed up with Griff always being under foot, Wise Snake asks him to choose between leaving their company, or receiving training as a nurse or Donor. Griff opts for the latter, although not for reasons Snake would have appreciated. Nick and Snake take Griff to a University bookstore to buy him medical textbooks, and Snake puts more than just money into the cashier's hands.

Episode #62: It Can't Hurt to Ask (8/15/98) Linn questions Wise Snake regarding Bum Bum, junctedness, and Snake's own transfer-related difficulties. Snake is more candid than usual, for some reason.

Episode #63: Indecent Proposal (8/16/98) About to leave the city of Achambo, Richard pays one last visit to Wise Snake and makes an utter fool of himself in his attempt to explain his feelings for her. Eliza slips into the bathroom to avoid the embarrassing scene. Later, not realizing Richard has left, Eliza mistakes some noises she hears through the wall for... well, let's just say that one misunderstanding leads to another. Soon, Eliza and Snake are engaged in a bewildering conversation which Snake thinks is about Eliza pledging to her as Sectuib, and Eliza thinks is something else entirely.

Episode #64: High-Maintenance Relationships (8/18/98) Nick finds Wise Snake in a catatonic state and, after finally bringing her out of it, traces the problem to some non-Farris safe armpit deodorant (among other things). Leaving Snake in Linn's care, Nick takes Bum Bum to lunch and issues some advice and a stern warning. Meanwhile, Linn tries to support Snake nagerically but has to settle for giving her a head massage instead.

Episode #65: Mix and Mate (8/20/98) This episode finds our heroes on the road again. During a rest stop, Snake accepts Eliza's suggestion that Eliza give Bum Bum transfer this month. Eliza informs Tanzarra and Bum Bum, perhaps not as gently as she could have. Both channels react strongly to the news. Wise Snake learns that Tanzarra and Soli had not been identified as matchmates by the Tecton, and becomes convinced that Tanzarra can recover from her transfer-related problems.

Episode #66: Twins no Longer? (8/23/98) On the road, our heroes come upon Nully and Neffy, twins who have changed over and Established respectively. Having shared Nully's First Transfer, they are on their way to live with their uncle who lives at Householding Naros. Concerned that the two are too inexperienced to be travelling alone, Wise Snake offers them an escort. Eliza becomes alarmed when Tanzarra falls asleep during their rest stop, then fails to respond to outside stimuli. Snake examines the channel, then calls upon Eliza to provide the support of a true Companion in the days ahead.

Episode #67: The Road to Naros (8/25/98) Held over an extra day at the rest stop where they picked up Nully and Neffy, our heroes are delayed in leaving by a drunkard who gets into a brawl with Nully. Just as they manage to get rid of him, who should show up but Lapek, an Out-Territory businessman who could use his field taken down. Finally, just as they are ready to get under way, they encounter Messa, a young Gen in bad shape who desperately requires healing.

Episode #68: Iths ab bif Sithy (8/26/98) Two days later, our heroes have yet to leave the rest-area-turned-campsite, which is full of sick and wounded passers-by. Wise Snake goes to the creek to get water and finds a changeover victim who turns out to really be a Gen. Snake foolishly offers to escort him to the local Sime Center, which is a day's travel in the wrong direction. Back at the camp, Tanzarra and Eliza notice that Bum Bum has gone missing, and Snake asks them to go fetch him. Bum Bum claims this is so she can have all the healing work to herself. Be that as it may, after tormenting Bum Bum for a while, they bring him back, and they all have breakfast(?).

Episode #69: Excuse Me, But That's My Gen You're Stepping On (8/29/98) This episode finds our heroes finally on the road again, though way behind schedule. Wise Snake assures Terl that the Sime Center will be able to assist him in his new life as a Gen. Linn and Bum Bum are discussing his transfer with Eliza, when suddenly Linn is injured by her horse. A hasty halt is called, and Linn gets her foot examined by Snake while Bum Bum tries to apologize for distracting her. Then Bum Bum is himself distracted, by Tanzarra, while Snake takes down Linn's field simulating Bum Bum's draw.

Episode #70: The Ghost of the Father (8/29/98) Later the same day, Tanzarra declares herself ready to fight harder to overcome her problems.

Episode #71: Overruled by the Mad (8/31/98) Hajene Errel and Sosu Bralz, the staff of the normally nearly-deserted Pinchford Hollow Sime Center, are taken aback when our heroes descend upon them with a horde of patients. Unable to prevent his lobby from being filled with the sick and wounded and his medicines from being pilfered by Wise Snake, or to apprehend the obviously dangerous Bum Bum, Errel finally flees into a locked office, where he and Bralz climb out a window. Their attempt to ride into town for reinforcements ends suddenly when their stolen horses demonstrate a strong preference for the barn. Nick assists Linn in supporting Bum Bum during a healing session, causing the channel to far exceed his usual performance. Snake attempts to make sense of the Sime Center's practically nonexistent files.

Episode #72: Arborphobic? (9/1/98) A short time later, Wise Snake discovers Errel and Bralz in front of the barn. Errel lets himself get talked into going back into the Center to speak to some young adults, but flees when he learns they are interested in postsyndrome. Snake fields that question, then is subjected to an inane argument about the morality of Simehood by one of the young boys. Linn dresses down Bum Bum for delivering a depressing speech about Need to the youngsters. Then they go out on the back porch where Bum Bum's attempt to seduce Linn is witnessed by one of the curious young Simes through the kitchen window. Afterward, they go for a walk. Snake decides it is time to move on, and sends Eliza and Tanzarra to locate Linn and Bum Bum and bring them back. Eliza freaks out Tanzarra by nearly being injured in an apple tree. She then startles Tanzarra and Bum Bum by suggesting that the two of them couple to ward off the CD's.

Episode #73: The Heat of the Road (9/2/98) Our heroes are their way to Naros once again. Eliza and Tanzarra discuss the future of Nelly and Nuffy. Eliza wonders what the Householding will be like, and whether they'll have meat there. Flossie gets a bit frisky.

Episode #74: The Path to Insanity (9/3/98) Linn asks Wise Snake when they are going to ever get to Naros, a question Snake would like to know the answer to herself. The conversation eventually turns to whether all Householdings (and all Sime Centers for that matter) are full of crazy people. Snake attempts to argue that most Householdings and Centers are relatively calm and efficient places, but Linn proves a hard sell, especially when Snake is unable to come up with any evidence.

Episode #75: Divided (9/5/98) Wise Snake tells Nully and Neffy a dark fairy tale to stop them from bickering. Nully learns to read.

Episode #76: Point of Impact (Householding Naros #6) (9/6/98) Our heroes finally arrive at Householding Naros. Riyyh, Mytag and Wolfa go to greet the visitors, and Mytag is shocked to recognize them. Linn is not happy to see the man who'd drugged her at the Bender Cove Sime Center. Caught between them, Riyyh desperately tries to soothe her feathers, but this only offends Mytag. Later he and Mytag make up in private, and Mytag takes the opportunity to express his concern about Linn, Snake and Eliza's presence being a disruptive force in Naros. A depressed Ruby is still waiting for an escort to her new assignment for the Tecton. When her ride fails to show up, she gets Bum Bum to help her carry in her bags, and Linn finds it necessary to rescue him from Ruby's nager. Ruby finagles an introduction to Nick and Snake out of Linn, but Snake is asleep and Nick is firm about not waking her.

Episode #77: Revelation (Householding Naros #7) (9/6/98) The next day, Mytag finds Ruby again waiting forlornly for her escort, and talks her into coming indoors. Eliza and Tanzarra go exploring the grounds of the Householding. The four of them meet up and Mytag brings them all back to his place for tea. Tanzarra learns that you don't bring up working for the Tecton around Ruby. Eliza learns that Mostan is living at Naros.

Episode #78: Linn the Terrible (Householding Naros #8) (9/7/98) Nick catches Wise Snake in the act of sneaking out a bathroom window. Riyyh and Mytag pay a visit to try to work out what to do about the reputedly dangerous Linn. Mytag and Nick end up getting into an argument over it. Riyyh worries that he is "losing it" as a leader.

Episode #79: Shotguns and Staplers (Householding Naros #9) (9/9/98) Wise Snake takes the bewildered Linn aside and firmly instructs her to spend less time thinking about math and more time thinking about the people around her. Mostan walks in on them and is surprised to find Bender Cove people at Naros. He is even more surprised when he learns Eliza is with them.

Episode #80: Guesswork (Householding Naros #10) (9/10/98) Linn struggles to practice supporting Bum Bum without calculating mathematically. Bum Bum does his best (such as it is) to assist her. They go to the Householding's communal dining area for a break and find Nick there talking to Riyyh. Forced to sit near the others by Linn, Bum Bum suddenly snaps and spills the story of how they all came to be travelling with Wise Snake. Then he runs from the room, and Linn follows. Nick, refusing to answer most of Riyyh's questions, leaves the Sectuib with the final impression that our heroes are a peculiar, and not particularly open, bunch.

Episode #81: Unwelcome Concern (Householding Naros #11) (9/11/98) Nick finds Wise Snake passed out from tranquilizers. Riyyh arrives at the front door and Nick enlists his aid in attempting to revive Snake. Unwilling to do more than examine the Farris himself, Riyyh is about to leave to fetch Tictoc when Snake revives on her own. There follows an intense scene in which Nick expresses his worry, fury and frustration, and Snake protests that he is over-reacting. Riyyh beats a hasty retreat, then encounters Linn on her way back to the guest cottage. He takes the opportunity to invite her and Bum Bum to stay on at Naros as part of their program for juncts. Linn listens to this, but becomes less cooperative when Riyyh also tries to convince her it is her duty to get Snake off the road and into a Farris-friendly environment.

Episode #82: The Father of Our Householding (Householding Naros #12) (9/13/98) After a night spent in the town burgling houses (she was actually stealing channel-work off the occupants) Wise Snake stops into Ruby's house hoping the depressed Gen required medical attention, only to become a virtual prisoner to Ruby's need to care for a channel. Fortunately a lucky break presents itself when Riyyh comes to abase himself before Ruby, and Snake makes her escape. Riyyh, in an attempt to explain why he refused to marry Ruby, confesses that he is her father... and her grandfather as well. Emerald erupts into a rage and she and Ruby leave the Householding, maybe forever. Mytag finds Riyyh looking stunned and takes him back to the medical center. There, Riyyh confesses to Mytag and Tictoc that he is, in fact, father to nearly everybody in Naros, including them. He fears that, with Emerald and Ruby on the loose, soon everyone will know and the Householding will be destroyed. Tictoc gives him something to make him sleep, and she and Mytag quickly concoct a plan to tell everybody that Riyyh is ill and being kept under observation. While trying to deny that Riyyh's words could be true, they are struck by the strong resemblance to Riyyh of everybody around them. Tictoc tries out Wise Snake's channelling skills in the Householding's infirmary.

Episode #83: The Crown of the Rabbit-King (Householding Naros #13) (9/14/98) Tictoc, impressed by what she'd seen of Wise Snake the day before, suggests to Riyyh that he adopt Snake as his heir and immediate replacement. Riyyh is appalled. Mytag, too, urges Riyyh to select an heir from outside the Householding, and to step down from his position as Sectuib. Riyyh is willing to do the former, but can't bear the thought of the latter. Wolfa and Hero share the latest gossip, all of which suggests the Householding's dark secret is about to erupt into public view. (Wolfa wishes Hero were a little more mature, mentally and nagerically.) Tictoc has another talk with Snake and is less impressed than the first time around. Mytag takes Riyyh to lunch, where some men who didn't handle the news of their children's parentage well decide to vent their frustration on their Sectuib's person. A woman commits suicide after learning her betrothed is her half-brother.

Episode #84: Spin Doctor to the Infirmary, STAT! (Householding Naros #14) (9/15/98) Riyyh turns to Wise Snake as his only hope for getting the rioting members of Naros under control long enough for him to repair some of the damage to their confidence in him. Mytag and Tictoc aren't pleased with the plan (they still think he should resign) but go along with it. Linn is not impressed with Riyyh's explanation of how he got into trouble in the first place.

Episode #85: Bloodthirsty (Householding Naros #15) (9/17/98) Wise Snake, Linn and Nick manage to divert the rioters from their siege on the medical center to a small office in the administration building. There, Snake takes their complaints, starting with Soouvra, Zartek, Sethan and Yletka. Yletka tries to "get lucky" with Linn. Mostan and Eliza meet again, and they and Tanzarra are invited to a party by some young Narosians.

Episode #86: They Didn't Cover This in Donor School (Householding Naros #16) (9/18/98) Linn titillates the gossips (and confuses her friends) when she takes a shower with Riyyh and dresses in one of Ruby's outfits. Eliza, sent to watch over Naros' Sectuib, is made uncomfortable by the shower scene, but is later put at ease by Riyyh's kindness. Anything further which may have occurred is interrupted by Mytag, who sends away Eliza and brings Riyyh back to the infirmary where he can keep an eye on him himself.

Episode #87: I Didn't Want to Know That! (Householding Naros #17) (9/19/98) Bum Bum is concerned about Linn after hearing the rumors of her shower with Sectuib Riyyh. During her explanation, a misunderstanding causes Bum Bum to temporarily believe Wise Snake is operating as Riyyh's pimp. Hero does not impress Eliza with her (very) adolescent chatter. Tanzarra and Eliza talk to Riyyh about Tanzarra's Gen transfer problems.

Episode #88: Indiscretion (Householding Naros #18) (9/21/98) Warned in advance by Bum Bum, Mytag presents a cool professionalism when Wise Snake comes to confront him about his readiness for transfer with Riyyh. Eliza, who is in Riyyh's office keeping an eye on the Sectuib, manages to convince Riyyh she wants his sexual and nageric attention (mostly by getting drunk and experimenting with techniques described in "The Way of the Nager"). Riyyh, being Riyyh, is only too happy to cooperate to the best of his ability. The couple is walked in on by Wolfa, who immediately runs to fetch Mytag and Wise Snake. Mytag serves Riyyh transfer out of a sense of duty, but has no interest in dealing with him afterward. Wise Snake yells at him and Eliza, then sends Wolfa to go find Riyyh and take care of him. Tictoc eventually comes to assist, after learning of the events through the gossiping Hero. (Warning: sex scene included intact)

Episode #89: My Brain 'Urts (Householding Naros #19) (9/22/98) Eliza regains consciousness after the shenanigans of the previous episode.

Episode #90: Portable Dildoes R Us (Householding Naros #20) (9/22/98) Tictoc gets Riyyh ready for his appointments with the disgruntled members of Naros. Nick and Wise Snake share transfer. Nick becomes extremely upset when Snake not only declines to share post with him, but can't see why he thinks it's such a big deal. Riyyh finds Nick wallowing in misery in Snake's office, and attempts to comfort him. Griff and Hero raid the infirmary, in search of the results of the finished genetics study.

Episode #91: Next! (Householding Naros #21) (9/24/98) Linn informs Wise Snake that she has a lot to learn about keeping males happy. For some reason this does not go over well. Sethan has his appointment with Riyyh.

Episode #92: Amazing Powers (Householding Naros #22) (9/25/98) Sethan comes to the infirmary to get his arms measured for retainers. Linn and Bum Bum attempt to assemble what they think is an automatic arm-measuring machine. Mostan gets off a shift and shares, er, sweet thoughts with Povkhia. Riyyh discovers Nick still down in the dumps over the nature of his relationship with Wise Snake, and invites the Gen back to his office for some private consolation.

Episode #93: Flattery will Get you Nowhere (Householding Naros #23) (9/26/98) Sectuib Riyyh invites Nick to pledge Naros and live there as his Companion. Nick miraculously manages to get back to Wise Snake before the rumor mill does, and informs her of Riyyh's invitation. Snake flies into a rage and declares that they will be leaving Naros that very night.

Episode #94: Overreaction (Householding Naros #24) (9/27/98) A sexy portait of Ruby arrives from the framer's a few weeks late. Any breakdown Riyyh may have been about to experience as a result is interrupted by the arrival of Wise Snake, who has heard one rumor too many (about Nick's supposedly leaving her) and flies into a homicidal rage. Tictoc, Mytag, and Wolfa all try to stop her, but it is ultimately Eliza who saves the Sectuib's life by Genslamming everybody in the room. Miraculously nobody dies, but Snake falls into a coma. Mytag takes Riyyh back to his house to calm him down. Tictoc comes by to drop off some medication. While Mytag is otherwise occupied, Zenik shows up with a question for his Sectuib. Upon hearing the answer, he declares his intention to leave Naros along with his wife. Mytag mourns the loss of a good cook.

Episode #95: The Worms of the Early-Bird (Householding Naros #25) (9/28/98) Riyyh and Mytag head in to the office before dawn to beat the rush. Wolfa is horrified when she hears some of what Bum Bum has told "young, innocent" Hero, and marches off to give him a piece of her mind.

Episode #96: Strayed (Householding Naros #26) (9/29/98) A young Gen, Dess, turns up on Naros' doorstep after being kicked out by her parents for being unsaleable. Linn is surprised by Bum Bum's attitude toward Snake.

Episode #97: The Reluctant Caregiver (Householding Naros #27) (10/1/98) Bum Bum attempts to murder the comatose Wise Snake nagerically, but is foiled by Nick's protectiveness. Stuck watching over both of them, Bum Bum is eventually joined by Linn. Ansen is sent over from the medical building because his pills were accidentally included in the rush to bring medical goods to Snake's bedside. Linn and Bum Bum succeed in finding him his medication, but not until he's already had one of his attacks.

Episode #98: Look, Doc, No Hands (Householding Naros #28) (10/2/98) Risha goes to Riyyh to express her interest in one day becoming a First Order Donor -- and if possible, his Companion. Tictoc goes to Riyyh to report on Wise Snake's status and the two of them discuss that channel's future. A decision is made to send Snake back to Zeor, and Riyyh promises to arrange for representatives from that Householding to come to Naros. Eliza enters next, and Tictoc warns Riyyh not to be too comforting to the girl. Eliza begs Riyyh to have somebody speak to Nick on her behalf, to try to convince him that Snake's injury was not her fault. Riyyh offers to arrange for her to have transfer with a Narosian channel.

Episode #99: Topics of Some Conversational Awkwardness (Householding Naros #29) (10/3/98) Sectuib Riyyh asks Tictoc to speak to Nick on Eliza's behalf. To Nick's horror, Tictoc asks Eliza to sit by Wise Snake in the meanwhile. Their conversation ends badly with mutual threats. Afterward, Tictoc returns to Riyyh's office and Nick instructs Eliza to get some "dirt" on the Narosian leaders via the prolific local grapevine. Linn and Bum Bum decide they want to try transfer together the next month.

Episode #100: Grapevine Harvesting (Householding Naros #30) (10/4/98) As per Nick's request, Eliza enters into a gossip session with Hero and much hilarity (along with a certain amount of shock and/or embarrassment) ensues.

Episode #101: Squeezing the King Grape (Householding Naros #31) (10/5/98) On her way back from her meeting with Hero, Eliza encounters Riyyh. Eliza suggests that Linn be scheduled to serve a Naros channel, preferably Mostan, and also manages to pry a few details out of Riyyh to support the gossip gleaned from Hero.

Episode #102: Oh Dear (Householding Naros #32) (10/6/98) Riyyh and Nick meet for the first time since the fateful invitation to join Naros. Riyyh is surprised when Nick, having become aware of his dependency with Wise Snake, is apologetic rather than upset over the incident. Nick freaks out when he hears that representatives from Zeor have been asked to come to Naros to deal with Snake. But he's really floored when a fallen photograph reveals....

Episode #103: Anyone for Bridge? (Householding Naros #33) (10/8/98) Riyyh asks Mostan to study up on Linn and let him know whether he thought he'd be able to handle Qualifying her. Riyyh also invites Mostan to pledge Naros. Nick sees signs of life in Wise Snake for the first time since she was slammed, but she does not regain consciousness. Mostan runs into Linn in the cafeteria. Shortly thereafter, they are joined by Bum Bum and Povkhia, which puts an end to that conversation.

Episode #104: Prudence (Householding Naros #34) (10/9/98) Having left Wise Snake in Eliza's care, Nick goes to speak with Riyyh. He finds the Sectuib... well, we don't need any more rumors, do we? At any rate, Nick expresses his strong opposition to the bringing of Zeor representatives to Naros to examine Snake. In the course of the conversation, Riyyh becomes intimidated by what he perceives as threats, and makes the decision to have Nick and Wise Snake restrained until the arrival of the representatives.

Episode #105: Halves of Teams (Householding Naros #35) (10/11/98) Riyyh takes some time to make sure there won't be any trouble from the rest of our heroes after Wise Snake and Nick are locked up. Mytag sits with Nick while that worthy recovers from the knockout drugs and finds himself separated from his channel. Carmikel, the Tecton's beleagured local representative, shows up to demand why Naros hasn't forked over the promised First Order Donor (Ruby).

Episode #106: What????!!!!!! (Householding Naros #36) (10/13/98) Zeor's representatives arrive at Naros. Wise Snake awakens to find herself held prisoner and is not pleased. Kenmore Farris quickly develops a raging head ache as a result of learning just what has been going on in Naros. (The fact that he heard it all from Hero may have played some part in that)

Episode #107: Bleahberries (Householding Naros #37) (10/15/98) Kenmore Farris interviews Bum Bum, who (perhaps misguidedly) insists that Sectuib Riyyh be there as his protection. Kenmore suffers a nearly disastrous encounter with some fruit juice, and, incidentally, displays pharmaceutical tendencies rather reminiscent of Snake's. After recovering (barely) Kenmore goes to check on Snake. Sending Riyyh and Dahlia out of the room, Kenmore releases Wise Snake from her bonds.

Episode #108: Nick the Naked Redux (Householding Naros #39) (10/15/98) As per Kenmore's instructions, Eruditia questions the hirsute Nick. Nick answers some questions but then refuses to go any further without seeing Wise Snake. Kenmore informs Snake that she will be taking transfer with Dahlia Farris this month. He then goes to speak to Nick. After assuring the Donor that Snake is fine, he asks if he might take transfer from Nick this month. Nick says no way - at least until he can talk to Snake. Kenmore says that he is free to do so, so long as he doesn't interfere with Dahlia's support. Eliza asks Riyyh what is to become of her.

Episode #109: "Outie" as 5th Contact? (Householding Naros #40) (10/16/98) Nick goes to see Wise Snake for the first time since she regained consciousness. She reassures him that she is being well cared for by the Zeor medical team. Afterward, on the way to the Dining Hall, he is accosted by Hero and asked a large number of personal questions. In the Dining Hall, he runs into Riyyh for the first time since being drugged and locked up in the storeroom. Luckily for Riyyh, Nick needs somebody to talk to.

Episode #110: Other People's Channels (Householding Naros #41) (10/17/98) Linn, given the impression by Bum Bum that Riyyh has been slow to assign him a Donor, marches over to the Administration building to straighten things out. Then she goes to visit Wise Snake, who seems fine until rumors of Nick spending a quality moment or two with Riyyh set her off.

Episode #111: Well When you Put it That Way!! (Householding Naros #42) (10/18/98) Kenmore Farris comes to Riyyh's office to discuss what should be done about Wise Snake. Riyyh is all for getting rid of Snake (and Kenmore, for that matter) in any way possible, but Kenmore believes it would be better to let Snake choose where to go. After Kenmore rather colorfully illustrates what would happen if they do not cooperate, Mytag and Riyyh try to think of alternatives for Snake that would best suit Naros' interests.

Episode #112: The Elimination of Guests (Householding Naros #43) (10/19/98) Naros muckety-mucks powwow regarding getting Wise Snake and company out of the Householding as soon as possible. Tictoc displays a disturbing lack of knowledge of the local gossip. Riyyh reveals the identity of his newly chosen heir. Young Athney takes minutes for the meeting, ensuring that nobody in Naros will fail to know what happened at it.

Episode #113: Serpent's Kiss (Householding Naros #44) (10/20/98) Linn encounters Eruditia and Ifto in the garden. Kenmore visits Nick and recieves a much-awaited confirmation of their transfer assignment. They observe Dahlia's transfer with Wise Snake, which goes tolerably well, and then Nick serves Kenmore. It turns out Snake didn't train Nick in on certain details regarding Tecton style transfers. In a bizarre, yet somehow natural turn of events, Dahlia, Wise Snake, Riyyh and Mytag all turn up Post at Riyyh's house, and Mytag almost does something he really would have regretted.

Episode #114: The Plot Thickens, the Ceiling Thins (Householding Naros #45) (10/22/98) After a shift in the infirmary with Kenmore, Nick locates Wise Snake passed out on Riyyh's couch and gets her up and running. The two of them go to Riyyh's office and break in to study some records, as well as to discuss Snake's plan for taking over Naros. Snake falsifies documents to make it appear that Riyyh has decided to go on permanent Tecton rotation, first stop Bender Cove. They also concoct a plan to get Riyyh to Bender Cove before he even realizes he's pledged the Tecton. They are interrupted when budding spies Ansen and Hero pay them a quite unexpected (for all involved!) visit.

Episode #115: Beeswax, Other People's (Householding Naros #46) (10/25/98) Nick attempts some damage control with Hero, telling her an almost-truth that accounts for most of what she'd heard of his and Wise Snake's conversation. Mostan comes to Riyyh to agree to transfer with Linn. Riyyh reintroduces the two and Linn agrees to being qualfied by Mostan. Snake discovers the two of them together and confronts them, but after they confirm their assignment, she appears to lose interest.

Episode #116: Relaxation Exercise (Householding Naros #47) (10/28/98) Hajene Ifto comes to Riyyh for some advice on how a lesser channel can ward off exhaustion when trying to keep up with Farrises. Riyyh tells him to spend more time with his Donor, and to try to get full mileage out of his rest periods by doing something relaxing. Ifto hurries off to try out this new "technique" and Kenmore finds him in the garden. They discuss Kenmore's transfer with Nick and why Nick wasn't a satisfactory partner despite his vavoom!! nager. Meanwhile, Riyyh and Mytag meet and decide to travel to Bender Cove, on pretense of attending a pledge ceremony and party at the Bender Cove Lower Sime Center. However, they will really be petitioning Richard Hardwick-Greeves to take responsibility for Wise Snake and take her away from Naros. A worried Nick asks Snake if he, as rumored, "drifts" nagerically.

Episode #117: Relaxation Exercise II (Householding Naros #48) (10/29/98) Linn comes to Riyyh to find out if he'd be willing to look up a friend of hers while in Bender Cove. Ifto returns to Riyyh for some clarification and elaboration on the "exercise" Riyyh had explained to him. Nick gives Riyyh a relaxing shoulder rub while terrifying him on the subject of Bender Cove.

Episode #118: Punishment Swiftly Follows Mis-Take, Gen-erally (Householding Naros #49) (10/30/98) Linn quite unexpectedly serves her first transfer, and it's not where she's Qualified by Mostan, either! Afterward, she gets her first experience at handling a Sime after transfer, as well. (Get your mind out of the gutter... she's a schoolteacher) Ifto comes across a young boy doing his lessons in the garden. Afterward he doesn't manage to avoid running into Hero, from whom he hears a rumor of Linn's mishap earlier. Rushing to Riyyh's office in disbelief, he gets confirmation that it happened and that Linn survived in perfect condition.

Episode #119: The Hole that Does Not Mend (Householding Naros #56) (11/10/98) Some days later, Nick and Wise Snake learn of Riyyh and Mytag's return to Naros. Wise Snake, having remained suitably distracted by Kenmore and therefore having failed to take over Naros, feels only apathy at Riyyh's escape from her trap. Nick tries to get Snake to tell him her dreams for the future, or failing that, to at least give him a hint that the old Snake is still alive somewhere inside. Riyyh visits Anmyn, his heir, who has been holed up in Tictoc's house since her arrival at Naros. He then attempts to explain to Sidie, a young Gen, why her older brother (still a child) has been mean to her since she Established. Kenmore, Tanzarra, Riyyh and Mytag talk in the Sectuib's living room.

Episode #120: The Ancient Art of Snake Shrinkage (Householding Naros #57) (11/11/98) Kenmore has read up on the long lost science of psychoanalysis. However, when he attempts to put the technique into practice, he discovers the books didn't quite cover everything. Tarana, a disjunct channel and a new immigrant into Naros, is interviewed by Tictoc as Tanzarra stands by. Tarana then speaks to Riyyh and manages to talk him into training her for channel's work despite his better judgement.

Episode #121: Ow! (Householding Naros #58) (11/12/98) Kenmore startles Riyyh by announcing his rearrangement of transfer assignments - including Riyyh and Mytag's - to accomodate the arrival of his cousin Halawees who is to serve Wise Snake. Riyyh feels compelled to speak to Kenmore about a few things that have been on his mind. Bum Bum and Ruschia reassure Sidie that she isn't sick and won't miss her pledge ceremony. Hero welcomes Tarana to Naros and gives her a tour of the Householding, both physically and verbally.

Episode #122: Unauthorized Procedure (Householding Naros #59) (11/13/98) Ifto catches Tarana attempting an inexpert channel's functional on Sidie, and chastizes her. Riyyh reassures Tarana that she will, indeed, be trained and asks her to be patient and prudent in the meantime. The three of them then engage in a philosophical discussion about the meanings of Householdings.

Episode #123: Take Me To Your Lathe (Householding Naros #60) (11/14/98) Hero and Riyyh welcome Sinda, a renSime woodworker, to her new home at Naros.

Episode #124: Guest of a Guest of a Guest (Householding Naros #61) (11/18/98) Hero gloms Anmyn. Riyyh attempts to speak to Mytag about their future together and is dismayed by Mytag's casual attitude. Kenmore Farris' dizzy cousin Halawees arrives to help care for Wise Snake and it develops that Nick hadn't known about this. Riyyh desperately tries to keep things civil between the two Gens. Halawees then goes off in the company of Anmyn and Mytag, and Riyyh is left to try to convince Nick to give Kenmore and Halawees a chance.

Episode #125: Gallant Sir Richard (Householding Naros #62) (11/19/98) Nick and Kenmore discuss the arrival of Halawees and what it will mean for Nick. Richard pays Wise Snake a visit, offering to help her in any way that he can. Nick, having received Snake's promise he will transfer with her the following month, goes and serves Riyyh.

Episode #126: I'm my own Grandpa (Householding Naros #63) (11/20/98) Wise Snake tells Nick to stop wallowing in self-pity. Riyyh learns that Linn is depressed due to lack of anything to do, and offers her a temporary position teaching Genlan to the kids. Linn is introduced to Jamalas and Dennifa, two of Naros' current teachers. They are both very glad to see her, although for different reasons. Linn discovers that the school's teaching materials date back to pre-Unity.

Episode #127: Sosu Cash Crop (Householding Naros #64) (11/21/98) Nick learns that, far from being the product of a one-night-stand, he was actually bred deliberately by his grandmother Prunida, who wanted a well-paid Donor for a grandson. Prunida shows up and, having heard that Nick may actually have been working as a Donor after all (and not sending home any money), demands to know what is going on. After pissing off Wise Snake and getting thrown out the door for her troubles, Prunida is comforted by Riyyh who really ought to know better after all these years. Mostan decides to pledge Naros.

Episode #128: Selyn Slamdunk (Householding Naros #65) (11/22/98) Wise Snake is served transfer by Halawees. Er... maybe 'served' isn't a strong enough word? Riyyh tries to get ready for work, but is hampered by Kadi and Prunida, both of whom seem to be making themselves quite at home. Jamalas, hoping to make Linn feel very welcome, tries to get some funding for the textbooks she requested.

He arranges for her to transfer with Wise Snake. Riyyh warns Nick that the entire Tecton is soon to know of Wise Snake's forgeries, and suggests that she and Nick leave Naros as soon as possible. Later, in the Dining Hall, Linn attempts to ask Eruditia some advice Gen-to-Gen and is appalled when the Donor proves anything but objective.
